Galerija Kula – Dubarvka Rakoci

Galerija Kula – Dubarvka Rakoci, MIMEOMAI, Trafostanica Manuš, Split.

From November 26, 2022, the work of the artist Dubravka Rakoci called MIMEOMAI was painted at the Manuš Substation, Split.

The work was realized in cooperation with HEP-ODS, Elektrodalmacija Split and the Culture Institute Galerije Kula.

TS 20(10)/0.4 kV Manuš is the first substation in Split, built in 1920. It was connected to the Vrilo-Majdan HPP from the Jadro river by a 10 kV transmission line on wooden poles.

On July 15, 1920, the Riva was illuminated from public lighting for the first time with 220 V cables.

It is still in use today.

KRUG: My work exists only in relation to the environment (in the most concrete sense). She chooses its color and determines its shape. An image can be a part of an image that exists only through time and different places of exposure, but it is also materialized at every moment and in every form (which changes with new exposure and is the only form in a specific case). The form always has the same potential energy that simply emanates in some (exhibition) situations, and in others it is directed inwards. It is always (meaning in every change) a circle, simply because of the physical property of energy. Dubravka Rakoci
